Check the known limitations first
Several common problems come from limits of the converter rather than bugs:
- HEIC/HEIF files are not supported because most browsers cannot decode them. Convert them to JPG or PNG first.
- Supported formats are JPG/JPEG, JFIF, PNG, WEBP and BMP. GIF, TIFF, SVG and other formats are not accepted.
- Size limits: up to 20 images, 35 MB per image and 200 MB per batch. The merger takes exactly two PDFs and cannot open encrypted files, including ones that open without a password but restrict printing or editing.
- Cropped images: the default "Fill" scale covers the whole page and crops whatever does not fit. Choose "Fit" to keep the whole image.
More answers are in the FAQ and in the known limitations on the converter page.
Reporting a bug
A useful bug report includes:
- your browser and its version (the version number is on the browser's About page);
- your device and operating system;
- the file type and approximate size of the files involved;
- the settings you used (page size, orientation, scale and output) or, for the merger, the size and page count of each PDF;
- what happened, and what you expected to happen;
- any error message shown on the page, copied exactly.
Please do not send sensitive documents such as IDs, bank statements or medical records. Describe the problem instead, or attach a harmless sample file that shows the same issue.
Feature requests
Suggestions are welcome: a format you need, a missing page size, or a change that would make the tools easier to use. Describing the task you are trying to do helps more than naming a specific feature.
